The Regulations Should be Followed in The Construction of Amorphous Refractories

In the application of amorphous refractory, many factors affect its performance, such as material selection, construction, maintenance and so on.  The importance of construction is crucial.  The following is the amorphous refractory construction, need to follow the provisions.

The shapeless refractories should not be used when the package is damaged, the material is obviously leaked, contaminated or damp deteriorated.

The surface of steel structure and equipment in contact with amorphous refractories should be cleared of floating embroidery.

The mix ratio of amorphous refractories shall not be arbitrarily changed during construction.  No water or other materials should be added to the shapeless refractories.

The template used for pouring should have enough stiffness and strength, and the size of the supporting mold should be accurate, and prevent deformation in the construction process.  Template joints should be tight, no leakage of slurry.  Anti-stick measures should be taken on the template.  The surface of insulated masonry in contact with castable shall be waterproof.

The mixed refractory castable shall be finished within 30 minutes, or within the specified time according to the requirements of the construction instructions.  Castable which has been initially set shall not be used.
