Verallia in €80 Million Brazilian Glass Production Expansion

Verallia, is to invest €80 million to increase its production capacity at its Campo Bom, Brazil facility.

The French glass manufacturer said the investment project would comprise the installation of a furnace as well as modern technology.

It would focus on serving the national wine and spirits market (such as sparkling wines).

It is expected to be operational by the end of 2023 and increase the production capacity at the unit by 700 thousand packages per day, to around 1.3 million daily units.

The company said the expansion was in response to an anticipated increase in demand.
