Refractory Selection for Oxygen Fuel Furnace Crown
DOWNLOAD
As next-generation glass furnaces advance, increasingly demanding conditions will place higher requirements on high-performance refractory materials.
Selecting the appropriate refractories for the crown (the upper arch or roof area) of an oxygen-fired glass melting furnace is critical due to the severe operating conditions. Oxygen-fired furnaces introduce higher flame temperatures, more aggressive vapor-phase corrosion, and higher radiative heat transfer compared to air-fuel furnaces.
