Refractory material is the main constituent material of glass melting furnace, which has decisive influence on glass quality, energy consumption and product cost. The future of glass melting technology depends to a certain extent on the progress of refractory manufacturing technology and the improvement of product quality. For large float line, the composition of glass furnaces are usually made of l-shaped hanging wall (usually use silica brick), melting (area to use direct contact with glass fused brick, on the top of the use of silica brick or fused brick), the neck (usually use silica brick), cooling (including ear pool usually using direct contact with glass just the jade material, where there is no direct contact with the liquid glass, silicon brick or corundum is used), annealing furnace, heat storage chamber (made of high aluminum brick, clay brick, directly bonded magnesia chrome brick) and other parts.
Glass furnace commonly used insulation material is silicon brick.Common refractory materials for glass furnaces are clay bricks, high alumina bricks, mullite bricks, etc
